T & S Bates have been involved in Engineering project work for over 30 years.

We currently have a staff of Professional Engineers and Drafters fully conversant with AutoCAD, and experienced in various disciplines. Our specialist areas are Mechanical and Structural design. Our office is equipped with the latest software and hardware and we have the capacity to quickly generate and provide concept drawings, sketches, project schedules and full size manufacturing drawings.

We believe in working closely with the customer and offer our Engineering and Project Management experience to assist with your plant improvements, from R&M work through to turnkey capital projects. This work extends to Engineering design, Feasibility studies, upgrade work (Engineering, Budget costing, preparation of project documents, etc).

Our main area of expertise is in cranes and lifting gear, from small specialised lifting beams to overhead electric cranes. We have also completed various train maintenance systems involving jacking system for the removal and maintenance of train bogies.

One of our main customers who we have been involved with from the beginning is BlueScope Steel steelworks at Port Kembla, Wollongong . Some of the work completed for Bluescope Steeel includes machine guarding, and machine and process line modifications.
